Christmas Creativity at 3

This year we all were in the creative spirit to celebrate Christ's birthday. There was a lot of story telling, questions to answer, requests to create. So I worked on a series of crafty stuff to do wealth out of waste. Daddy and you got totally involved and was at his creative best.

You learnt all the Christmas Carols and loved the story and song of Rudolf the red nose reindeer. You sang it at every opportunity given swinging yourself with happiness. You knew the names of all of Santa's reindeer's " Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder (or Donner), and Blitzen. So we did a fun project based on this.

You have absolutely no stage fear and love performing. You performed for every event and in Dubai you got gift take-away everywhere. Your expectations fell apart when you went for the Carol singing stage performance in Colva- Goa. You expected hem to call you on stage and you would sing (of course Rudolf the red nose reindeer) and then you would get a take away :))), and when that didn't happen, you were disappointed watching the viewers leave and the lights turned off. So we took you on stage and you sang for your cousins and relatives in Goa and we were just about to leave and you asked....'Where's my gift?" and we told you it was at home. The sound manager was watching you for a while whilst he was wrapping, he clapped and came on stage with a frooti box and told you that's your gift :). That was a kind gesture and we all smiled.

Gareth's first day at Dubai Mordern high school, Nad al Sheba

I woke at 7am and lazed a bit with daddy, thats when U. Ray called your cousins Kenisha & kiana wanted to speak to you and find out if you you had your red lightning mcqueen tiffin, water bottle & bag :). Sadly we only had a red tiffin, we will pick the rest over the weekend. Ray said 'God bless you' and we laughed :).  Woke you at 7.30 am :), have to leave home by 8.15, so it was a early wakey wakey. You were groggy, wanted to laze in my arms ...aww.  You brushed your teeth, Euans bubble gum toothpaste made your day :). Daddy called the 1st time whilst brushing. You quickly walked to the dinning table and I fed you your breakfast :), coaxing & bribing did it. You made a egg card and watched Tom & Kerry on my iPhone. Serena called to talk to you, you were all excited. You managed to eat your sandwich & drink all your milk. I took you to the toilet to poop, but you couldn't, so I have you some more milk. That did it :). A. Serena conferenced Nana to you whilst pooping  and every time i told her you were pooping, she heard coffee, so she assumed you were having breakfast. She said 'very very good morning' and you both exchanged kisses and excitements. We put your bag on & you were all set to take your first pic all dressed in Jeans, gray & white t, brown sandals. You walked slowly as the bag was heavy and it was your ever first bag carrying session.  You sat nicely in your booster seat and we drove to school at 8.35am, there was no traffic, and midway I Thot I lost my way, but you assured me we were not lost, and bingo we weren't :). We reached sharp 9am. daddy called & text me to check on you whilst driving, I do not take calls whilst diving, do we called him when we got there. We signed the visitors book and we met Sharon at the reception. She took us straight to Nody's Friends class. You have 2 teachers Sudha & --- & a woman who handles potty & food and looks after you. You had to remove your shoes, and you got in your class without any fusses. You headed straight for the staircase. I made Sudha take a few photos of you and later as I walking away, she called me back to write your name on all your products in your bag (cap, shirt, pants, underwear, bottle, tiffin, & bag). I lingered on to record a video of you from the look in mashed window on the door.  I headed out to do the rest of the formalities. that's when A. Prisca called because she read Daddy's tweet on fb. And I wanted to stay, but Sharon adviced to go home, so when i spoke to daddy, he calculated that the 30 minutes drive, I'll barely have 1 hour at home before I know, I'll be on the road again :). So I stayed behind and filled your forms and blogged your first day at school. Daddy is so excited he can barely focus on work :). O Damn, I forgot my novel at home, so....I'm twiddling my fingers till you get off your class at 12.45. But me being an explorer.... I walked around and figured out the library for primary, lower kg and high school and picked up a book 'a thousand splendid suns' and managed to read a bit. I later met up with the supervisor and spoke to her about my caliber and if  the school would need my expertise.  So she guided me as I waited patiently for you outside your classroom.  When you left the classroom, I begun recording. You had to find your sanded and give it to the teacher. You wandered and was very playful. You saw me and flung your arms in the air and hugged me.  We hung around to be a part of the exit cho cho train :). You also had an artwork that you had done in your bag. On our way home, you had loads of stories. Here's a funny one. In my class a naughty boy pushed me in the kitchen, a smiley boy told naughty boy not to do it again. Mummy you tell naughty boy not to do it again. I made you eat all the dried fruits in your tiffin box. Ma'am Mridula told me you did not enjoy the bread & cheese as it was dried.  Daddy called up so many times to get an update from you, but you were tired. I took you home and showered & fed you. You spoke to A.Serena & daddy and slept for 1 hr and woke up all sprity.  The next day was a weekend, by than you changed your persona and just did not want to go to school. And cried for a good 1 hour, is what Mridula told me. You were taken out many times for a walk in the corridors. :(, my heart was with you... By the end of 4 hours, you were fine :). Phew!

You are special. A fireball of energy, just like your mummy ;), daddy knows it :).

We made it extra special for you - two days to celebrate. One with your teachers and school mates and another with a special few you love a lot.

Since you are such a dinosaur lover, your birthday cake was about the things you dig in about these creatures -Volcanoes, Dinosaurs and Dino eggs. It was designed by the Pastry chef at the Marriots. Your Godmother made your favorite cinnamon rolls for you and your friends. Daddy, Audrey and I came over to your class with these goodies to surprise you. You were so shell shocked that you hugged your buddy :). And when you saw Audrey, you hugged her tight. We sang the Dino song, did the bear hunt, and cut your cake. Your friends loved it :), so did you. You had to struggle to keep the Dinos to yourself. You had a lovely time and everyone relished the cake & rolls :). your teachers Mridula & Sudha made it extra special for you. When you got home, we gifted you a set of Dinosaurs, you were overjoyed.

You are a big big fan of Lightning Mcqueen from the movie cars, so we themed your birthday the same. Your cousins stayed over the night before your birthday to cook up special surprises for you. Kenisha hand made a beautiful cot for your doll Lana and she colored a lightning mcqueen car card, Audrey did did a beautiful card, daddy fixed your car along with kenisha and kiana, while mummy converted the red Audi to Lightning Mcqueen with the stickers, Godpa fixed your cycle, and at the Marriots they were designing a Lightning Mcqueen cake for you!! Your Godparents Vitinho & Helga, Cousins Kenisha, Kiana and Emma, Uncle Pet & A. Martina, Your best friend Audrey and Pramilla came over. Small, sweet and special. We started your day by waking you up to see your new car. You were shocked and immediately begun to drive around banging walls, blowing horns etc. Kenisha gifted you the cot and you were admiring the art and craft, you loved her card too. Soon, lil Audrey came by with a bycycle for you. You hopped on and begun zipping around the house. You were so happy. Later that evening A. Martina picked up a remote control Lightning Mcqueen car for you, that you always wanted. You relished the cake and all the other eats that were on the tea table. You were so tired at the end, all you wanted was to dream about driving you car :).
